Where the pages of time are peeled back to a long forgotten time in sport when PARTICIPATION was more important than WINNING.
To qualify you need only be 35 years young and are prepared to uphold these simple but basic aims. The Supa Oldie Brotherhood of Sport is a growing phenomenon where people of the world meet for.... FUN AND FELLOWSHIP.History
SUPA OLDIE SPORTS INTERNATIONAL (SOSI), was formed in 1994 to promote sporting activities for over 35 year olds and in a short time has established itself as one of the leading International Organisers of Veteran Soccer Festivals.
It is a well known fact that soccer is the most populous sport in the world and increasing in popularity in places like USA and the African Continent and with this in mind, SOSI set about to establish contact with other soccer nations to create Festivals that would bring people, over the age of 35, together for Fun and Fellowship. World Fun Cups (WFC), are major International Sporting Festivals based on the philosophy of "Fun and Fellowship".
The main objective is to hold one major tournament every two years in a different part of the world. Since its inception, tournaments have been held in ARGENTINA - AUSTRALIA - NEW ZEALAND and GERMANY.World Market
SOSI has created a unique medium through which to showcase to the world's market place, the sport, players, events and most importantly its sponsors. SOSI has excellent links with other major sporting organizations like the EUROPEAN OLDIE FUSSBALL SPORTVEREIN located in Germany.
Through its many international contacts, SOSI has been able to harness the hopes and desires of like minded people from around the globe by organizing sporting events for OLDIES to keep mind and body young beyond their years.
This is not only a meeting place of former world greats and not so greats, but a gathering of people from around the world to play their favourite sport, make new friends and have a holiday of a life time.
